• Samples

  • Due to the volume of sample requests we recieve, we please ask customers to allow 5 working days for the samples to be cut and dispatched. If samples are needed quicker then please request confirmation by email. 

    Samples of our cloths can be bought direct from the product pages. We charge a minimal cost of £3.00 (excluding VAT) and also carry a shipping cost.

    We usually send samples on a recorded (signed for) service with Royal Mail, typically costing between £2.50 - £10.00 depending on the country where the samples are being sent. 

    Samples sizes can vary, typically between 6 - 8cm by 5 - 7cm, and are only meant as a representation of colour and texture and are not suitable for artistic pursuits. 

    SAMPLES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

• Delivery

  • Please allow 2-3 working days for dispatch with goods typically being delivered within 1 – 2 working days of dispatch for UK, Worldwide can vary but typically no longer than 5 working days.

    If you were not available when the driver attempted to deliver the package then a card should be left to notify you and you can arrange re-delivery.

    If the goods are returned to us then you are liable for delivery costs once again.

    Please note, orders placed after 11.00 am on will be processed on the next working day, and orders placed after 11.00 am on Fridays will not be processed until the following Monday. 

    No orders will be dispatched on UK Bank/Public Holidays.

    UK DELIVERIES

    UK delivery costs start from £10.00

    All orders, apart from samples, will be sent by courier (DHL) and will require a signature on delivery. Samples will still need to be signed for but are typically sent with Royal Mail.

    WORLDWIDE DELIVERIES

    We offer delivery of our cloths to all European and International countries, cost of delivery is added to the cart at the point of sale. All international deliveries are sent by DHL, as we believe the cost of deliver offers you the most efficient and cost effective way of sending to your destination.

    Sample orders are usually sent via Royal Mail & can take up to 10 working days for dispatch plus normal delivery time.

    Please note, if your destination is outside the EU, you are liable for all import duties, customs, and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to; therefore, payment may be required by customs to release your goods. We advise that it might be beneficial for you investigate potential charges before placing your order, as all countries have different procedures.

    * If fabrics are not in stock and have to be called in from another mill this may result in a two/three day delay in dispatch.

  • Before each piece of cloth is sent, by Yorkshire Fabric, it is personally inspected by two members of staff to ensure the highest level of quality, ensuring that your item is in perfect condition when you take delivery.

    Please note that although we have taken all possible steps to ensure that the product images are representative of the product, as best as possible, colours may vary according to settings on your screen and therefore can only be an approximation of the actual product.

    Unfortunately, as all fabrics & trimmings are cut to your individual specification, they cannot be returned (exceptions apply). This is in compliance with the Consumer Rights Directive (Distance Selling) 2014.

    On the occasion where a refund is accepted, the returned item/s must be sent back to us at your cost and will not be refunded until the item/s are delivered back to Yorkshire Fabric and have passed our quality control inspection. On this occasion, we shall provide you with a full refund of the price plus delivery charges within 14 days.

    To avoid any disappointment, we advise you to purchase a sample of your desired fabric before ordering it in a specified length. Please note sample requests can take up to 7 days to be cut and sent, unless otherwise arranged.

    Our samples carry a minimal charge of £3.00 (plus VAT). A sample is a small cutting of the fabric and may vary in size, typically between 6 - 8cm by 5 - 7cm. A sample will give a true representation of colour, texture, pattern, weight and handle of a fabric. Please allow 5 working days for samples to be cut and dispatched. SAMPLES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

    Please note this policy is only applicable with the same fabric as the sample purchased.

    If you require more than a small cutting, we recommend purchasing 10cm of fabric instead. Please note, this is not an official sample and therefore does not fall under our samples policy.
